Hey all.
Do you find you debate well with people? It doesn't matter the subject for the debate right now, I mean in the sense that, you don't lose your temper and you can actually go about having a meaningful debate.
I know the point of a debate is two sides, each arguing their point, but should the people that are on the opposing team not listen to the ideas that are you bringing to the table?
Enough with the who wins the argument, and more with the bettering of ourselves and our peers.
So for those heated debates between friends, I say this to you. Open your mind, its a crazy world out there, and there is so much that you can learn just from listening to one another. Do you know what your friends thoughts are on global warming? Gasoline prices? or even Politics?
Its as simple as letting your friend speak their mind without grade school interruptions, challenge yourself next time to hold your tongue.
On that bombshell, keep your tires sticky side down.
i am moderately open minded... though i am also quite stubborn... if someone can present factual evidence about something, ill be more inclined to believe what they are saying... when i hear stuff about a certain subject, say global warming, i look around, and with everything i know about how big companies work, and fear mongering, i tend to call B.S. on the whole deal... yes, the o-zone is almost gone, and yes, we are seeing higher UV levels than ever before. i wont argue against that. its the whole deal with 'buy green to save the environment... buy greener cars! and greener this and that... solar power...'
ReplyDeleteif people actually knew how much resources and everything was used to create millions of new cars every year, they'd be amazed... it would be far more green to just maintain the vehicles we have now...
and solar energy... it takes a lot of energy to create a solar cell...
anyways, haha!
another good one buddy! love the catch phrase!
